Why polyaspartic instead of epoxy?
Sunlight. Epoxy ambers where daylight reaches it, so anything outdoors or under a lot of glass gets polyaspartic. Epoxy still wins on build thickness and value per coat, which is why many of our best floors use both: an epoxy base for build, polyaspartic on top for the sun. The walkthrough settles it for your space, and if polyaspartic is not the right call we say so.
Can it go outside?
Yes, and that is most of what we use it for: entryways, exterior stairs, walkways, and loading docks. Anything outside also needs grip, so we broadcast texture into any surface that will get wet.
How fast can the space reopen?
Usually the next day for foot traffic, depending on the system and the conditions on site. You get the return-to-service schedule in writing before we start.
Do you use polyaspartic on homes too?
Yes: sun-hit garages, exterior steps, and walkways. For a standard interior garage or basement we usually reach for epoxy first, often with a polyaspartic topcoat over it. See our garage floor page for the residential side.
