Our family flooring trade started in 1964 with terrazzo on Navy ship decks. Today our third-generation crew installs epoxy floors in Navy Yard labs, shops, and loading docks.

We give research labs and cell and gene therapy suites a seamless floor and can carry the coating up the wall at the edges. Solid color, quartz, or urethane cement goes in each room, depending on the work done there.

Straight answers
Commercial floors in the Navy Yard, in plain terms.
Can you coat a lab suite at the Navy Yard without shutting the building down?
In many buildings, yes. We close off the work area and plan the install with you in sections, at night, or over a weekend. Before we start, we confirm when people and carts can come back.
What floor goes in a cell and gene therapy suite?
We choose the floor from your facility's requirements. Options include seamless solid color epoxy with a curved edge up the wall, quartz for wet areas, and urethane cement where needed. Send your validation team's requirements before the walkthrough.
Does the Navy Yard count as federal work with extra paperwork?
Some projects do. Those can come with extra access and paperwork requirements, and we plan restricted hours, escorts, and gate access with you. We provide a certificate of insurance on request, with bonding for larger projects.
How thick should an epoxy floor be for a Navy Yard shop with carts and pallet jacks?
The thickness depends on the wheels, loads, and traffic. We can use thicker 100% solids epoxy or quartz in heavily used areas. We specify the thickness on your written quote after reviewing the floor and equipment.
